Kimberly Ferris has called San Diego, CA her home her entire life. She has been working as a professional in the mental health field since 2007 in a variety of specialized areas. She received her BA in Human Development with an emphasis in Counseling from California State University, San Marcos. She then went on to achieve her Master’s Degree in the Art of Teaching with an emphasis in Applied Behavioral Analysis from National University. She began her professional career working in a residential treatment center for eating disorders. She then became an Advanced Behavioral Interventionist working with children on the autism spectrum. She also was a co-owner of an in-home geriatric care agency specializing in dementia care. Most recently she discovered her true personal passion and focused her education in the areas of drug/alcohol addiction and intimate partner violence. She completed the California State-approved Crisis Intervention Training covering intimate partner violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. She is experienced in the field of intimate partner violence and understands the many different intricate aspects of domestic violence. Kimberly then graduated from Sober College School of Addiction Studies and has been growing and working in the field of addiction ever since.  She is currently an Assistant Case Manager at Restore Detox Centers in Poway. She believes in integrative therapy and is trained in multiple therapy modalities including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Reality Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Applied Behavioral Analysis. Kimberly’s greatest joy in life is watching someone let go of fear and become their true authentic self. She enjoys providing her clients with scientifically-proven tools to help them create the quality of life they have always dreamt of living.
